FAQs

Azar is not currently offering group classes because of the pandemic.  If you would like a private class for you or your family, please contact Azar.

Do you offer hands on or demonstration classes?

We offer both types of classes. In our hands-on classes, you are involved in cooking and gaining the experience you need from start to finish. In our demonstration classes you sit back, relax and watch our instructor cook your favorite meal. In either class, you are encouraged to ask questions, but most importantly you are required to enjoy the meal at the end of class!

Should I eat before the class?

We offer you a light appetizer when you arrive and before we begin cooking. We want you to save your appetite for the meal to be prepared.

What should I wear in the class?

We suggest wearing long pants, long sleeved shirts, closed toed with rubber sole shoes (no flip flops please).

What is your Cancelation Policy?

It varies depending on the type of class you have chosen; please refer to our “Cancelation Policy” page for your class.

Do I need to bring my own supplies and equipment to the class?

At your home parties, we visit your home 2 weeks prior to the party for an evaluation of your kitchen, its equipment and the availability of cooking space for the number of invited guests. We provide supplies and any necessary equipment missing!

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of class.

Do you offer kids/teen classes?

Yes, we do! We offer cooking, baking and craft, educational and nutritional classes for children and teenagers. But the term “classes” is used loosely because the event is a fun experience where learning happens all on its own.

How many students can you register for each class?

For group events and classes, we have found that 8-10 people is ideal; everyone gets the attention they need and conversations/laughter flow and can be not only heard, but shared.

Would we have access to the recipes and the health benefits of the ingredients used in the menu?

ALL recipes and health benefits of all our ingredients used in a class or event are available on our website for you to print and share! Beyond anything else, our company wants the experience of becoming healthier to become second nature to you and shared with others.

What should I do if I or one of my guests has a food allergy?

You must fill out the consent form and the dietary restriction portion of the website at the time of purchase. We will work to ensure that foods prepared are safe and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Are beginners welcome at any of your classes?

Our classes are entertaining and fun for all levels of expertise, but if you prefer or would feel more comfortable having taken a beginner’s class first, we offer a “Back to Basic” class perfect for getting you started on your journey in learning how to cook and to be more nutritious!

Do you serve beverages during the class?

At your home parties, we will provide a light appetizer and you are welcome to serve your guests whatever drink you wish! In studio classes, we still provide a light appetizer, but no alcoholic beverages, just water.

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

Gift Certificates are available for any occasions! Please e-mail azar@eatwellwithazar.com, or call us 703.400.1780 to order.
